Mindoro State University (MinSU) continues to break new ground on the global stage as it officially joins the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), marking its debut in this prestigious list of forward-thinking institutions around the world.
On July 10, 2025, WURI announced that MinSU secured the 328th spot in the WURI Global Top 400 Innovative Universities, a proud milestone for the university and a sign of its growing influence in global higher education.
WURI or World University Rankings for Innovation, measures universities based on real-world contributions, creative approaches, and entrepreneurial drive, moving beyond the usual academic metrics. This aligns with MinSU’s ongoing efforts to develop programs that make a difference not only inside the classroom but in the broader community.
Among thousands of participating institutions, MinSU stood out in several key innovation areas. The university placed 10th globally in University Brand and Reputation (B8), a category that acknowledges innovative efforts in building a strong, trustworthy image. This shows that MinSU’s strategic branding and communication initiatives are making a mark not only locally but globally.
In the field of Industrial Application (A3), MinSU earned the 12th spot worldwide. This reflects the university’s successful integration of industry-focused education and research, helping to solve real-world problems and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
MinSU also showed its dedication to students by ranking 22nd in Student Support and Engagement (A1). This recognition highlights the university’s strong programs that support student welfare, promote inclusion, and open doors to opportunities through scholarships and career development initiatives.
MinSU’s inclusion in the WURI rankings follows its earlier debut in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, underscoring the university’s rising international presence.
“This recognition proves that innovation is alive and thriving in MinSU,” said Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President. "MinSU is not just rising - we are ascending," she declared during her Unang Ulat sa Universidad on July 11, 2025.
As the university continues to grow, it remains committed to creating impact, not just within classrooms but in the lives of students, industries, and communities it serves.
With these global milestones, Mindoro State University proudly carries the banner of innovation from the heart of Mindoro to the world.
