A newly-acquired bus worth Php 4 million was officially blessed at Mindoro State University – Calapan City Campus on August 4, 2025, shortly after the formal opening ceremony for Academic Year 2025–2026.
The blessing ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Januel A. Baltazar, alumnus of MinSU Calapan City Campus, who led the prayers for safe and purposeful use of the university’s newest transport facility. The bus is expected to provide safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation for students, faculty, and staff.
This new transport facility forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve campus facilities, particularly in enhancing mobility and accessibility for academic and administrative activities such as educational tours, competitions, seminars, and extension programs.
The modern, air-conditioned bus features a spacious interior and is equipped with complete safety features, ensuring that it meets transportation standards both on and off campus.
Dr. Franie M. Afable, Campus Executive Director, extended his appreciation to the university administration, especially to Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President for the continued support and dedication to the needs of the Calapan Campus community.
A short inaugural drive around the campus followed the ceremony, symbolizing a new chapter in the university’s service journey for all MinSUans.
