A total of 326 employees of Mindoro State University (MinSU) availed of free medical services through the “Free Annual Medical Check-Up of MinSU Personnel under the PhilHealth Konsulta Benefit Package” held across the University this September.
The activity was conducted in partnership with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and facilitated by the Medical Mission Group Hospital and Health Services Cooperative of Oriental Mindoro (MMG) through its mobile clinic, which brought essential health services closer to faculty and staff.
The series of mobile clinic check-ups kicked off at MinSU Calapan Campus on September 2 with 74 beneficiaries, followed by MinSU Bongabong Campus on September 9 with 114 beneficiaries, and culminated at the Main Campus in Victoria on September 16 with 138 beneficiaries.
Employees received free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and preventive healthcare services under the PhilHealth Konsulta Program, which aims to promote wellness, detect potential health concerns early, and encourage regular medical check-ups. The program forms part of the government’s initiative to make primary healthcare services more accessible nationwide, particularly to government workers and PhilHealth members.
Many employees expressed appreciation for the convenience of the mobile clinic setup, which allowed them to receive much-needed health services within the University premises.
This initiative which will be implemented until December 2025, is part of MinSU’s broader wellness and preventive healthcare program for employees, ensuring that its personnel remain physically and mentally fit to perform their roles as public servants.
