Mindoro State University (MinSU) President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol participated in the House Committee on Appropriations pre-plenary hearings for the FY 2026 budget proposal of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) held at the Speaker Prospero C. Nograles Hall, Batasang Pambansa Complex, today, September 24, 2025.
Dr. Apostol joined fellow CHED officials and SUC leaders from Luzon, including the MIMAROPA region to present the University’s financial overview, priority programs, and major accomplishments. The hearing allowed SUC heads to brief lawmakers on institutional needs, ongoing projects, and budget utilization to support the education sector.
The pre-plenary forms part of the preparations for the plenary deliberations of all SUCs scheduled tomorrow, September 25, 2025, at the Plenary Session Hall of the Batasang Pambansa.
MinSU remains committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and the continuous delivery of quality higher education for the province and the region.
The outcome of this budget hearing is vital for MinSU as it will determine funding for priority programs and initiatives, as well as expanded student support to further strengthen quality education in the province and the region.
