Mindoro State University (MinSU) participates in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Conference held at Tongmyong University in Busan, South Korea on September 24-26, featuring MinSU as a conduit of innovative changes and transformative development.
The delegation, led by Dr. Jerrel S. Reyes, Chairperson of External Linkages and International Affairs, together with Engr. Christian B. Hernandez from the Institute of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, proudly showcased MinSU's programs worthy of global recognition.
On behalf of University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, Dr. Reyes presented the innovative case of MinSU under the Brand and Reputation Category on the first day of the conference, highlighting the University's notable global ranking of 10th in that area. Their presentation showcased MinSU's efforts in crafting a strong institutional brand and reputation, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and community impact.
On the second day, Dr. Reyes presented a University project focused on student support and engagement, demonstrating MinSU's initiatives aimed at fostering support for indigenous students while protecting the environment. Additionally, Engr. Hernandez presented research outputs for Project MOSES, under Community Innovation, Culture, and Regional Collaboration Category of Research related to WURI.
MinSU's participation in the ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing earned another significant milestone for the University, establishing academic collaboration between Tongmyong University and Mindoro State University. This partnership underscores MinSU's pursuit of international academic cooperation.
Furthermore, MinSU received a Plaque of Recognition for its global ranking in specific WURI categories, affirming its standing among innovative universities worldwide. The University has been recognized for its innovative efforts, securing the 328th spot in the WURI Global Top 400 Innovative Universities in 2025. Notably, MinSU ranked 10th globally in University Brand and Reputation and 12th in Industrial Application, reflecting its strong branding and industry-focused education and research.
The WURI Global Conference proved to be a meaningful and productive gathering of innovation champions from higher education institutions internationally, providing a platform for sharing cutting-edge research and fostering collaborations.
