Upholding its commitment to global quality standards in higher education, Mindoro State University (MinSU) participated in the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN) Members’ Forum and General Assembly held on October 9 - 10, 2025, at the Diamond Hotel, Manila.

The University was led by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President together with Dr. Ciedelle P. Salazar, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Atty. Ariezza Lynne F. Maramot, Executive Assistant III; and Ms. Portia Angelica B. Abog, Director for Quality Assurance.

The two-day event convened higher education leaders, policymakers, and quality assurance experts from across Southeast Asia to discuss developments, innovations, and strategic directions in higher education quality assurance.

Among the highlights of the forum included the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) among AQAN, the ASEAN University Network (AUN), and SEAMEO RIHED; the launch of the AUN-QA Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Management Toolkit Version 1.3; and plenary sessions focusing on institutional governance, regional frameworks, and global comparability.

Representing the Philippines, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis delivered the keynote address and led discussions on advancing collaborative governance and promoting excellence in higher education.

Through this engagement, Mindoro State University reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement, regional collaboration, and academic excellence aligned with ASEAN and global standards.
