The Mindoro State University (MinSU) – Main Campus commemorated its 74th Founding Anniversary with a vibrant two-day celebration held on August 22 and 26, 2025, showcasing the University’s enduring spirit of tradition, unity, and purpose.
The celebration kicked off with a Color Bubble Fun Run and a grand parade, followed by the symbolic ringing of the “Kam-Pay,” which signaled the official start of the celebration. The opening day also featured a series of fun games and the launching of Project PUNLA, a tree-planting initiative that embodies MinSU’s commitment to growth, care for the environment, and sustainability.
Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol led the activity alongside Ms. Juvelyn V. Gumal-in, member of the MinSU Board of Regents, and international guests from Sweden — Mr. Jean Fredriksson, Mission Council Chairman of Tenhult Pentecostal Church; Ms. Filippa Hoog, PMUI Volunteer; and Ms. Åsa Fredriksson, Mission Council Member.
Meanwhile, the evening’s Gala Night brought the MinSU community together in a night of glamour and appreciation, celebrating the people and partnerships that continue to shape the University’s legacy.
Day 2 paid tribute to MinSU’s rich history with a ceremonial flower offering at the Symbolic Pyramid, followed by a commemorative program and AVP presentation highlighting the University’s journey through the decades. The day concluded with a community lunch, symbolizing the strong sense of solidarity and togetherness that defines the MinSU family.
As MinSU celebrates 74 years of service and excellence, it looks ahead with pride and determination - committed to nurturing future generations and leading the way in education, innovation, and development across the MIMAROPA region and beyond.
