In celebration of the 36th National Statistics Month (NSM) this October, the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Statistics Office (PSO) conducted an Information Dissemination Activity at Mindoro State University – Main Campus on October 22, 2025.
The event aimed to educate MinSU students, faculty, and staff on the significance of statistical data in shaping informed and data-driven decisions across sectors. Representatives from PSO Oriental Mindoro presented several survey results and administrative data statistics, including insights on livestock and poultry production, inflation rate, construction, and fisheries performance within the province.
As part of their commitment to promoting accessible public services, the PSO team also tackled the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys)—commonly known as the National ID System—highlighting its core purpose, benefits, and features. To further encourage inclusivity and convenience, onsite registration for unregistered MinSUans was offered during the activity.
The session served not only as a venue for statistical learning but also as a reminder of the vital role of accurate and timely data in fostering responsible, informed, and productive citizenship.
This initiative reflected PSO Oriental Mindoro’s continuous effort to bring statistical awareness closer to the public, ensuring that communities like MinSU remain well-informed and engaged in the country’s data-driven development agenda.
