The Mindoro State University Main Campus Guidance Office opened its Kapehan sa Guidance initiative yesterday, November 3, inviting all students and employees to pause, breathe, and take a moment for themselves.
With the theme “Kape’t Bisig: Warm Cups, Warm Hearts,” the Kapehan offers more than a cup of coffee—it offers a safe space where anyone can relax, ease stress, and prioritize their mental well-being. The week-long initiative runs until November 7 (Friday), encouraging everyone to drop by while it is still open.
The Guidance Office emphasizes that mental health is an essential part of overall wellness, influencing how we think, feel, handle stress, and make decisions. In line with this, the Kapehan serves as a gentle reminder that seeking help is a strength, and no one has to go through difficult moments alone.
“Our office provides a safe and supportive space where students can express themselves freely, seek help without judgment, and find guidance toward personal growth and emotional wellness,” shared Ms. Heidelita Bumohya, Guidance Counselor III. “Every student is important, valued, and deserves to be heard.”
The Kapehan sa Guidance remains open until November 7—everyone is welcome and encouraged to visit, unwind, and connect. Sometimes, a warm cup and a warm heart are all we need.
