In the spirit of Christmas, altruism, and inclusive community service, the Mindoro State University (MinSU), under its STC4iD Program (Science and Technology-based Community Innovation Development), conducted a meaningful Christmas Outreach Drive for the Mangyan communities of Oriental Mindoro on December 11, 2025.
Funded by DOST-PCAARRD (Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development), the STC4iD Program, and in partnership with the Pampamayanang Mangyan Ugnayan Inc. (PMUI), reflected a shared commitment to life-giving support and inclusivity through their outreach activity.
The team visited five community sites: Sitio Daya in Victoria, Sitio Bungkarot in Gloria, and Sitio Liguma, Sitio Atoy, and Sitio Bayang in Brgy. Lisap, Bongabong. They distributed seed packs, Arozcaldo (rice soup), biscuits, food packages, and preloved clothes to help meet the families’ daily needs and support livelihood efforts.
The activity aimed to embody the true essence of Christmas—compassion, unity, and reaching out to underserved communities. Through this Christmas Outreach, MinSU–STC4iD, DOST-PCAARRD, and PMUI reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind and that the warmth of the holiday season is shared with all.
