Mindoro State University has proudly secured a spot in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities in the January 2025 edition. Webometrics aims to promote open access to the wealth of knowledge produced by universities globally, using a comprehensive ranking model based on both webometrics (focused on all missions of the institutions) and bibliometrics (measuring research impact).
The ranking is determined by three key indicators:
• Visibility (50%): Measures the number of external networks linking to a university's website, reflecting the institution's influence and impact on the web.
• Transparency (10%): Assesses the number of citations from top Google Scholar profiles affiliated with the university, indicating the quality of academic output.
• Excellence (40%): Counts the number of papers published in high-impact, top-tier academic journals indexed in Scimago & Scopus.
Being ranked among the world’s top higher education institutions is a significant achievement for MinSU and is a manifestation of its growing impact on the global academic community. This recognition places MinSU on the map alongside top universities worldwide, underscoring the quality and relevance of its research, academic contributions and digital presence.
This ranking not only boosts MinSU’s reputation but also enhances its capacity to attract international collaborations, funding and students, fostering opportunities for growth and development.
