Christmas became more than a season of celebration—it became a moment of shared humanity and compassion as Mindoro State University reached the Mangyan community of Barangay San Cristobal, Victoria on December 19, 2025.
Through the collaboration of Ms. Elisa M. Agoncillo, Director for Extension Services, with faculty members from the College of Computer Studies, College of Business and Management, and College of Arts and Sciences, together with the University Clinic of the Main Campus, the MinSU community delivered assistance with smiles and sincere hearts.
Each family received Christmas packages containing five kilograms of rice, bread, and other essential food items, while medicines for children were also distributed to help address basic health needs. Adding joy to the occasion, Mangyan children were given aguinaldo and took part in fun and engaging games prepared by the faculty members, filling the day with laughter and celebration.
Beyond the material support, the program carried a deeper message: that the Mangyan community is not alone, and that there are hands ready to help and hearts willing to serve. This meaningful initiative reinforced MinSU’s enduring commitment to community extension and inclusive service, affirming its dedication to reaching different sectors through purposeful actions that uplift lives.
