The College of Arts and Sciences, led by Dr. Katherine P. Sanchez Escalona, CAS Dean, convened its program chairs to revise the College’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) on February 4, 2026, at the Main Campus Audio Visual Room.
The meeting gathered all eight program chairpersons across three campuses focusing on updating both the College’s VMGO and the specific objectives of each academic program to ensure alignment with the institutional goals and quality standards.
The revision forms part of CAS’s readiness efforts for the anticipated AACCUP accreditation of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which are offered at the Main Campus, Bongabong Campus, and Calapan City Campus, respectively.
Dr. Sanchez-Escalona expressed her optimism about the direction of the College following the review, underscoring the importance of a clear and responsive VMGO in guiding academic development and sustaining quality education.
The activity reflects the College’s continuing commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement across its programs.
