Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President participated in the Higher Education Summit 2026 held on March 10–12, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Clark, Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga.

Organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the three-day summit carried the theme “Achieving Sustainable Futures: Transformative Higher Education for Human Capital, Innovation, and Global Responsibility.” The gathering convened leaders of higher education institutions across the country to align institutional priorities with transformative reforms in the Philippine higher education sector.

During the summit, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, CHED Chairperson, formally unveiled the ACHIEVE Agenda, outlining its vision, strategic pillars, and implementation pathways toward building future-ready institutions. Anchored on the principles of inclusive excellence, institutional resilience, and lifelong learning, the agenda aims to strengthen the role of higher education in advancing national development and global competitiveness.

The opening day featured key messages from national leaders and education officials, discussions on the ACHIEVE Pathway to 2026 and Beyond, and a series of panel discussions addressing critical areas such as lifelong learning, human capital development, research and innovation, internationalization, data analytics, governance, and effective public service.

On the second day, the SDG Action Summit on Higher Education, Science, and Technology highlighted the role of universities in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sessions included high-level dialogues, partnership-building activities, and workshops that focused on strengthening curriculum, research initiatives, campus operations, and institutional governance.

The final day featured information-sharing sessions with international partners, cultural presentations, and the closing program of the summit.

Pres. Apostol’s participation reaffirmed MinSU’s commitment to strengthening its academic programs, research initiatives, and global partnerships, while ensuring that the University continues to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development and nation-building through transformative higher education.
