"Huwag kayong matakot mangarap nang malaki. Wala namang bayad 'yan." ("Do not be afraid to dream big. It's free.") - Engr. Fernando A. Paralejas, Jr.

As Mindoro State University celebrated it 5th Year Anniversary of universityhood on March 16, 2026, one particular milestone proved that determination, excellence and the right support paves the path to success — MinSU's topnotchers.

A powerful moment of reflection and inspiration unfolded as a special documentary featuring the journey of the University's rankers in the board exams. Engr. Fernando A. Paralejas, Jr., Top 1 at the September 2022 Agriculture and Biosystems Engineer Licensure Examination (ABELE); Kathleen Kaye E. Abueva, Top 4 at the October 2025 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination; Christian Albert B. Paskil and Clarence Joy D. Salmorin, both Top 5 at the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT); Erick B. Oliver, Top 8 at the November 2022 Agriculturist Licensure Examination; Joena Mae P. de Claro, Top 9 at the September & November 2025 LEPT; and Keane Justine R. Añonuevo, Top 1 at the November 2024 NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination, took the MinSU name at the national scene with their placings at the board exams for their respective fields.

More than a showcase of achievements, the documentary told the real stories behind the titles—stories of long nights of review, relentless discipline, sacrifices, and unwavering determination. It captured the struggles they endured, the motivations that kept them going, and the people who inspired them to push beyond their limits.

Their achievement stood as a testament to the University’s commitment to academic excellence, proving that MinSU does not only produce graduates—it shapes individuals who rise, excel, and lead.

As the stories unfolded, the message was clear: behind every topnotcher is a journey worth telling, and within every MinSUan lies the potential to become one. With their achievement now engraved in MinSU's history, it is now up to the current MinSUans to step up and claim their place amongst the topnotchers, who showed that hard work, if backed up by the proper support, paves the way for great things.
