Mindoro State University, represented by Ms. Antonette Dudas, Head of Global and Local Partnerships, participated in a formal consortium dinner and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held on March 19, 2026, at Villa Caceres Hotel in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
The event, hosted by Kansas State University (KSU) in collaboration with partner institutions across the Philippines, coincided with the 7th International Conference on Education, Environment, and Agriculture (ICEEA7) and the 4th International Conference on School-plus-Home Gardens cum Biodiversity Enhancement and Enterprise (SHGBEE4). It gathered representatives from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to strengthen academic cooperation and expand global partnerships.
A key highlight of the event was the dual-track MoU signing ceremony, which renewed agreements with existing partners while launching new collaborations within the KSU network. This initiative aims to broaden joint academic and research activities among SUCs, promoting shared learning and innovation.
The partnership between MinSU and KSU focuses on fostering collaboration through the exchange of scholars, professors, and students; participation in conferences and academic activities; and sharing of research, publications, and institutional knowledge. The agreement also establishes a foundation for future joint initiatives, subject to mutual consent and available resources.
Aligned with KSU’s strategic priorities, the collaboration emphasizes global food security and biosecurity, sustainable food production, disease prevention, and environmental stewardship through resource management and biodiversity conservation.
Through this engagement, MinSU reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international linkages and advancing academic excellence, research development, and sustainable innovation in partnership with global institutions. (marm)
