The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program of Mindoro State University (MinSU) Bongabong Campus has strengthened its bid for the full affirmation of its Level IV Accreditation following the successful conduct of the 4th Survey Visit Phase II revisit evaluation in the Research Area from May 12 to 14, 2026 by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

The program had earlier secured a Level IV accreditation status in May 2025; however, the Research Area was identified as needing further enhancement before the accreditation could be fully affirmed.

Leading the revisit survey is Dr. Lorena H. Garcia of Laguna State Polytechnic University, who serves as the AACCUP Team Leader for the evaluation.

University officials, faculty members, research coordinators, and campus personnel presented updates and supporting documents highlighting the program’s continuing initiatives to strengthen its research culture, faculty productivity, student involvement, and extension-linked scholarly outputs.

The revisit forms part of AACCUP’s quality assurance process to ensure that higher education institutions sustain academic excellence, research capability, and responsive instruction aligned with national and global standards.

MinSU Bongabong Campus officials expressed optimism that the revisit would affirm the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and quality hospitality management education in the region.

The BSHM program remains one of the flagship academic offerings of the campus, producing graduates equipped for the tourism and hospitality industry while promoting research-driven and outcomes-based education. (jdtdc)
