Mindoro State University (MinSU) officially welcomed thousands of freshmen, returning, and transferee students through a series of General Orientation programs held across its three campuses in preparation for the opening of the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.
The university conducted the orientation at the Bongabong Campus on July 27, the Victoria (Main) Campus on July 28, and the Calapan City Campus on July 31, introducing students to the university’s academic environment, student support services, and institutional values.
Thousands of students attended the university-wide orientation, where they were introduced to the offices, units, and departments that comprise MinSU, as well as the academic programs, student services, and institutional support systems available throughout their university journey.
The orientation also provided a comprehensive discussion of the university’s policies, rules and regulations, academic procedures, student responsibilities, and campus protocols, emphasizing discipline, accountability, and responsible citizenship as essential components of university life.
Speaking during the General Orientation at the Victoria (Main) Campus, University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol assured students that the university is committed to supporting them throughout their academic journey.
“Dahil pinili ninyo ang MinSU, sisiguraduhin namin na kami ang inyong makakaagapay sa pagtupad ng inyong mga pangarap,” Apostol said.
She emphasized that MinSU is not only an institution of higher learning but also a community dedicated to the growth and success of every student.
Apostol likewise called on students to develop a strong sense of belonging and pride in the university.
“Isa lang ang hihilingin ko, bilang kayo ay bahagi na ng Mindoro State University community, gusto ko na mahalin ninyo ang MinSU dahil kayo ay parte na ng isang komunidad na handang magsilbi para sa mga Mindoreno,” she added.
The University President encouraged students to embody the values of Mahusay, Matino, at Mabuti, which serve as the foundation of the MinSU community and its commitment to quality education and public service.
The orientation programs also introduced students to academic expectations, student organizations, campus safety measures, digital learning platforms, and opportunities for leadership, research, extension, culture and the arts, and sports development.
Dr. Jerome Jef M. Zamora, Director for the Student Affairs and Engagement said the orientation aims to equip students with the knowledge and resources they need as they begin the new academic year, while reinforcing the university’s commitment to producing graduates who are Mahusay, Mabuti at Matinong MinSUans.
