Two academic programs of Mindoro State University (MinSU) have earned renewed accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), reinforcing the university’s continuing efforts to maintain quality standards in higher education.

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program of the Bongabong Campus received Level IV Re-accredited status, valid until May 15, 2031, while the Bachelor of Arts in English Language (ABEL) program of the Victoria Campus earned Level II Re-accredited status, valid until May 15, 2030.

The re-accreditation followed online survey visits conducted by the accrediting body. For the AB English Language program, the survey was held on May 4–8, 2026, during which the program underwent an assessment of its academic systems and practices.

Meanwhile, for the BSHM program in Bongabong, the online accreditation survey was conducted on May 12–14, 2026, with accreditors assessing key areas including research, graduate performance, community service, international linkages and consortia, and the planning process.

The Level IV re-accreditation highlights the program’s sustained efforts to enhance academic excellence while strengthening its research, community engagement and international collaboration initiatives.

The University credited the achievement to the collective efforts of its administrators, faculty, staff, students, local task forces and stakeholders.

“This renewed accreditation further motivates us to sustain and continuously improve our academic programs,” said Ms. Portia Angelica B. Abog, Director for Quality Assurance, noting that the milestone supports MinSU’s commitment to providing quality, relevant and globally responsive education.

The university official likewise said that it will continue to build on the recognition by strengthening its academic programs and initiatives in support of student development, research, community engagement and partnerships. (jdtdc)
