For 72 Mindoro State University (MinSU) students, the Handog ng Pangulo became more than a nationwide government initiative as it brought direct educational assistance closer to the students who need it.
Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, MinSU President joined the ceremonial activities of the Handog ng Pangulo held on September 14, 2026 at the Provincial Capitol of Oriental Mindoro, where 72 MinSU scholars under the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) were recognized as beneficiaries of the ceremonial payout.
The activity, conducted nationwide, brought together government institutions and partner agencies in the delivery of programs and services intended to support communities, including students pursuing higher education.
For MinSU, the ceremonial payout represents another avenue through which institutional partnerships translate into tangible support for its students. The assistance provided through the TDP helps ease part of the financial challenges that come with pursuing a college education.
The participation of MinSU in the activity also reflects the university’s continuing partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) MIMAROPA Regional Office in advancing accessible and quality higher education across the region.
As programs such as the Tulong Dunong Program reach more students, MinSU continues to strengthen partnerships that help make education more accessible—not only as a university commitment, but as a shared responsibility among institutions serving the region. (marm)
