Strengthening its global linkages and expanding its innovation ecosystem, Mindoro State University (MinSU) participated in the University Incubators Consortium (UNIIC) Demo Day 2025 and reaffirmed its commitment to international collaboration through a multilateral Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on December 1–3, 2025, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Demonstrating its vision of fostering knowledge and technology exchange, enhancing student, and faculty and staff mobility, advancing research and publications, and promoting entrepreneurial development, MinSU renewed its partnership with universities across Asia and Africa through its sustained membership in UNIIC.
The MinSU delegation was led by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, SUC President III, alongside Dr. Jerrel S. Reyes, Director for External Linkages and International Affairs; Engr. Randy A. Joco, Director for Innovation; Ms. Roxanne M. Fabriquel, Faculty Researcher; and BSIT incubatees of MinSU-iBIBES Daryl J. Bacongco, Rijan R. Palomera, and Faye Chaleigh Anne M. Anonuevo.
The delegation actively engaged in the consortium’s Demo Day, co-hosted by the Cambodian University of Technology and Science (CamTech) and the National University of Cheasim Kamchaymear (NUCK).
UNIIC Demo Day 2025 served as a platform for showcasing innovative, socially impactful ideas and ventures developed by student innovators from 16 participating member universities. MinSU’s student-led venture earned recognition as it was presented on the international stage, highlighting the university’s commitment to nurturing young innovators capable of contributing to global development.
A major highlight of the three-day event was the signing of a multilateral MOA among member universities and partner organizations.
Signatories included Asia Pacific University; Mindoro State University; Adamson University; Western Philippines University; Occidental Mindoro State College; Universitas Trisakti; Universitas Multimedia Nusantara; Tra Vinh University; Hung Vuong University of Ho Chi Minh City; National University of Cheasim Kamchaymear; Cambodia University of Technology and Science; Coimbatore Institute of Technology; University of Mpumalanga; Sefako Makgatho Health Science University; Millat Umidi University; and the Asian Society for Innovation and Policy (ASIP).
The event also featured the presentation of outputs from the previous UNIIC Africa–Asia Roundtable Discussion, as well as the launching of the prototype UNIIC Research Collaboration Platform, an initiative designed to enhance cross-border academic and research cooperation. Participants likewise took part in a campus tour of NUCK and a networking session that fostered intercultural engagement among student delegates.
MinSU’s participation in UNIIC Demo Day 2025 underscores its unwavering commitment to internationalization, innovation, research, and student and faculty mobility. By strengthening its global partnerships, the University continues to elevate its role as a catalyst for transformative education and sustainable development in the region.
