Demonstrating its continuing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, Mindoro State University successfully underwent the Level II Re-accreditation Second Survey Visit for its Bachelor of Arts in English Language Program at the Main Campus from May 4 to 8, 2026 through a virtual evaluation via Zoom.

The five-day survey visit was spearheaded by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), with the evaluation team led by Dr. Mardie E. Bucjan, Professor VI from the Northeastern Mindanao State University. Joining the accreditation panel were Dr. Douglas Angel A. Aragon II, Associate Professor V from Central Bicol State University of Agriculture and Ms. Mary R. Jane Hermoso, University Librarian from Bataan Peninsula State University.

The survey visit aimed to assess the program’s compliance with national standards in 10 key areas- including VMGO, faculty, curriculum and instruction, support to students, research, extension and community involvement, library, physical plants and facilities, laboratories and administrations - essential to delivering quality higher education.

In her message during the opening program, Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol emphasized that the accreditation process serves not only as an evaluation mechanism but also as an opportunity for institutional growth and continuous improvement.

“It is a valuable opportunity to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the program. This accreditation will allow us to identify areas where we can improve and to ensure that our programs are relevant to the needs of our students, stakeholders, and the community that we are serving,” Apostol said.

She also urged faculty members, administrators, and personnel to sustain the university’s culture of excellence and innovation in higher education.

“Let us continue to strive for excellence in all that we do, and let us be innovative in our teaching methods, supportive to the students, and responsive to the needs of society,” she added.

The Bachelor of Arts in English Language Program is among the academic offerings of MinSU Main Campus that continues to pursue accreditation as part of the university’s broader efforts to strengthen academic quality, institutional credibility, and global competitiveness. (jdtdc)
