Students from all majors of the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) programs under the College of Teacher Education (CTE) - Calapan Campus officially opened the Skills, Innovation, Technology Exhibit and Competition (SInTEC) on December 10, 2025, at the MinSU Calapan Campus. The activity highlighted the creativity, skills and technical competence of the students in various fields.
Now on its fifth run, the exhibit was launched through a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by University President Dr. Enya Marie Apostol, SUC President III, and Dr. Wilma Lontoc, Dean of CTE. Organized through the collective efforts of BTVTED/BTLED faculty and students under the leadership of SInTEC Chairman Mr. Albert Ilagan, the event marks the start of a two-day showcase aimed at demonstrating the readiness of future educators to innovate and apply their skills in real-world contexts.
The opening exhibit features laboratory and research outputs across year levels, from CCTV wiring setups to student-designed gowns, artworks, paintings, and instructional materials. Among the standout displays is the “Gulay ni Inno” project, where students developed Kalabasa Chips in sour cream, cheese, and barbecue flavors, reflecting their capability in product development and applied research.
Pres. Apostol commended the initiative and the students’ innovative spirit during the opening. “Maraming bagay na ang iniaasa natin sa Google, sa AI, sa ChatGPT, pero ang ganitong pagkakataon ay patunay na ang mga MinSUans ay may sariling kakayahan at talent sa inobasyon, teknolohiya, pagtatanghal, at paligsahan,” she said, affirming her confidence in the skill and creativity of MinSU students.
The President also encouraged students to continue refining their craft, emphasizing her belief that MinSUans have the potential to compete on a larger scale. She challenged them to pursue innovation with purpose, confidence, and a mindset geared toward global excellence.
SInTEC 2025 continues on December 11, 2025 with a series of scheduled competitions and additional exhibitions highlighting student innovation.
